Implementing Patient Search and pushing down the existing controls

Aug 20, 2009 at 4:46 PM

Hi,

Can i know how is the Patien Search implemented in Patient Journey Administrator.  After key in of any character the data is displayed pushing the controls lowere below the search to show the search results.  Please let me know how we can implement this search and also moving the existing controls to different location based on the area of search results.

And i should also have the capability to select the patient from the search result set and add it to the datagrid control which exists below search control in my applicaiton.

So please let me know how is search implemented and as well showing result set, selecting one from the result set and pushing the exisintg controls down the search result set grid or frame.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Suman

Hi,

The sliding in animation is pretty much the same technique as we discussed here: http://mscui.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=65236. I added a fade and an extra translate transform animation to give the effect of the results sliding in from the side.

If you are using a list box to display the search results, you can use the SelectedItem property to know which patient has been selected, and then add that to the data grid. The ListBox's SelectionChanged event will tell you when the user has made a selection.

Hope this helps,

Martin

hi Prathibha

Since releasing the patient journey demonstrator we have completed some detailed research into how patient lists should be displayed. I recommend that you review our guidance in the following document: http://www.mscui.net/DesignGuide/PatientList.aspx
